Local government requires detail. I’m dropping leaflets to every home I can, but the pressure of space and readability means that you can’t go into the detail needed for the policies I want to advance on the council.
That’s why I’m setting out my ideas in an online manifesto, which complements the leaflet you should hopefully receive.
I’ve broken the ideas into five main themes:
As you’ll see, I mostly limit the policies to things which are directly controlled by local government. This isn’t because other issues are unimportant, but because I believe politicians should primarily focus on the stuff they can actually get done.
